A pork butt is actually cut from the shoulder of the pig! It is a less tender cut and is typically used to make pulled pork, but can also be roasted, cut into steaks, or used for braising and stewing. It’s best when cooked long and slow, which makes it more tender and brings out the great flavor from the meat.
Our pork butts range in size from just over 2 lbs to around 5.25 lbs. The average weight of our roasts is around 4.33 lbs. The roasts are $10/lb and when pre-ordering we ask for an $8 deposit per pound, with the remainder billed when we assemble your order.
