Leaf lard comes from the visceral, or soft, fat from around the kidneys and loin of the pig. Leaf lard is the highest grade of lard, with little pork flavor, making it ideal for use in baked goods where it is valued for its ability to produce flaky, moist pie crusts.
Our leaf lard is unrendered, so it has no additional ingredient and is ready for you to render and use at home.
Our leaf lard comes 6+ lb packages. At $5/lb (or less), each package is $30
